Better Training Starts with Better Checkpoints

Kim hand in air.jpg

Practical, hands-on trainings grounded in the science of learning. We equip you with research-informed strategies to check for understanding, recognize when adjustments are needed, and strengthen long-term retention. Because great training isn't measured by how much content you cover, but by what learners understand, remember, and can actually use.

What We Offer

Elevate your team's potential with research-backed strategies designed for lasting impact.

Keynotes

Engaging 60-90 minute sessions that challenge traditional training assumptions and introduce the CHECK framework.

Workshops

Hands-on half-day or full-day sessions focused on building practical toolkits for immediate classroom application.

Strategic Learning Solutions

We bridge the gap between content delivery and true understanding. Our methods are designed to ensure your teams aren't just hearing information, but internalizing the skills necessary for long-term retention and immediate application in the field.

Keynotes

Duration: 60-90 Minutes

Attendees leave inspired to rethink what they notice, how they measure success, and what they'll do differently the next time they step in front of learners.

Best For: Conferences, professional development events, leadership gatherings, and training or management teams.

Your team will leave with:

• A fresh perspective on what successful training really looks like.

• Greater awareness of the blind spots that can hide gaps in learning.

• A new appreciation for asking better questions and recognizing evidence of understanding.

• Renewed confidence and motivation to make every learning experience count.

The result? Trainers who think beyond delivering content and start looking for evidence that learning is happening.

Practical Assessment Strategies

Discover research-informed methods to check for understanding throughout your session, ensuring no learner is left behind before moving to the next concept.

Real-Time Adjustments

Learn how to recognize subtle signals that training isn't sticking and master the agility to pivot your delivery to meet participants exactly where they are.

Science of Retention

Apply psychology-based techniques to move beyond surface-level engagement and facilitate deep storage of information for long-term application in the workplace.

Hands-On Workshops

Duration: Half-Day to Full-Day+

Half-Day Workshops: 3-4 Hours

Great training isn't about having more activities. It's about knowing when to pause, what to look for, and how to respond.

Best For: Teams ready to move beyond engagement and build practical skills they can use in their very next session.

Your team will leave with:

• The CHECK framework: A practical approach to building intentional checkpoints before, during, and after training.

• Ready-to-use techniques: Creative ways to check for understanding without relying on traditional quizzes or tests.

• Real-time adjustment strategies: Practical responses for when learners are confused, disengaged, or falling behind.

• A personalized checkpoint toolkit: Activities, questions, and resources ready to use in their next training session.

• A clear action plan: Specific strategies they can immediately put into practice.

Module 1 (90 Minutes): Recognize the Checkpoints

We start by challenging common assumptions about successful training. Through interactive experiences, participants discover the difference between engagement and evidence of learning.

Trainers explore the CHECK framework, identify common training blind spots, and experience simple checkpoints that reveal what learners actually understand.

And here's the twist: They'll experience many of these checkpoints before realizing they're being used!

Break (15 Minutes)

Module 2 (90 Minutes): Put Checkpoints Into Action

Now it's time to put the framework to work. Participants explore practical ways to check for understanding, recognize learner signals, and adjust their delivery when things aren't going as planned.

Using real training challenges, they'll practice selecting checkpoint techniques, explore the Notice–Name–Nudge approach, and build a personalized collection of strategies for their next session.

The whole experience is interactive. Your trainers won't spend the day watching someone talk about engagement. They'll experience intentional checkpoints, practice using them, and leave equipped to create their own.

The result? Less guessing. More checking. Better learning.
